What is Marble Crack Repairing?

Marble Crack Filling service is involves analysing the nature of cracks find out if they are deep or surface level, or are wide or thin. Based on the assessment, we either use epoxy fillers or polyester fillers by Akemi brand which is a Italy based stone care products brand.

Also, the color of the filler is matched with the color of the marble stone so that the filling area does not have different appearance. Akemy fillers provides three times more long lasting than cheaper crack fillers contractors use which do not last long and leave the gaps in a few months.

There are two types of fillers – epoxy based and polyester based and both are used depending on the site. Polyester based filler is used for quick setting repairs and mostly used whereas epoxy based fillers are suited for durable, structural repairs.

Yes, with DustBusters diamond polishing, 99% of the stains of Harpric, acid, tea, coffee, wooden polish, oil etc. will be removed through grinding of the floor.

For repairing we use polyester based made-in-Italy Akemi Fillers which are recommended for Italian marble floors and are suitable for all kinds of natural stone, Granite, Terrazzo, Limestone and even wooden. For polishing, we use Partek Starr made-in-Italy powder polish to provide the overall gloss. Along with that, we use Diversey Terranova Liquid Crystallizer chemical which is a marble floor shiner. The chemical does not damage the delicate marble surface and combined with high speed mechanical process of Partek Sumo machine, the overall shine improves and appears cleaner.

Absolutely not. Our team of experts will ensure that no mess is created in the process of floor polishing. The floor is cleaned first and all the dirty water is removed using a vacuum cleaner. Then Terranova spray is put on the surface and buffed to finish with high shine.

Floor Polishing is most suited for Indian and Italian marble floor as they have high shine properties but it can also be applicable to other stone floors like granite and kota floors.

DustBusters Marble Floor Diamond Polishing Process

1.

Vacuum any dry dust or loose debris off the floor and scrub the floor completely with Partek P2 Neutral floor cleaner.

2.

Grind the floor evenly to remove deep scratches and stains with Diamond pad nos 50, 100, and 200 and prepare the surface for crack filling.

3.

Apply Akemi filler generously in the gaps of cracks and let it dry. Once dried clean the excess dried filler from top layer.

4.

Hone the floor with Diamond pad Nos. 400, 800 and 1500 to smoothen the surface and prepare for polish.

5.

Apply the Italian powder polish Partek Starr on the floor with water and floor pad till the polish is completely absorbed.

6.

Buff the floor using steel wool floor and liquid gloss enhancer. Wipe off any excess crystalliser polish deposits.
